Michał Kołodziejski
Michał Kołodziejski is a career diplomat, expert on the Asia-Pacific region and international economics. He studied at Japanese Studies Department and Faculty of Management, Warsaw University, as well as at Kanazawa University in Japan. In 2014 he concluded PhD studies at Warsaw School of Economics (International Economics Faculty).
Mr. Kołodziejski joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland in 2003. A graduate of Polish Diplomatic Academy, he first served at the Asia-Pacific Department and then, was posted to Singapore to head the Economic Section of the Embassy of Poland. Upon his return to Warsaw, Michał Kołodziejski worked as a Deputy Head of the Minister’s Office, Deputy Head of the Economic Cooperation Department and then, at the Asia-Pacific Department as Deputy Director and Director of the Department.
Between November 2017 and August 2022 he served as the ambassador of Poland to Australia, based in Canberra, accredited also to Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Nauru.
In October 2022 he returned on his previous position of Deputy Head of Asia-Pacific Department in the Polish MFA.
In September 2023, he assumed the position of Consul General of Poland in Hong Kong and Macau.
