Inheritance issues - general information
In line with the regulations currently in force, the consul can secure and execute Polish State Treasury's property rights in relation to inheritance and donations.
This means that currently consuls can only handle inheritance cases on behalf of Polish State Treasury.
The consul has no legal capacity to undertake the power of attorney, representation or any other actions within an inheritance case on behalf of Polish citizens. Neither does the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The only capacity in the field of inheritance law the consul can undertake is to authenticate your declaration on acceptance or rejection of inheritance, which an heir should file to a court.
If you are looking for legal assistance with regard to inheritance issues, it is advisable to contact a legal adviser or advocate in Poland or a local lawyer in Armenia. More information can be found in “the list of advocates, notaries and translators”
