Minister Zbigniew Rau holds telephone conversation with the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Liz Truss

Minister Zbigniew Rau had a phone call with his British counterpart on the situation at the Polish-Belarusian border and the use of migrants by the Belarusian regime to mount a hybrid attack against Poland and other NATO’s eastern flank countries. Professor Rau thanked the head of British diplomacy for the UK’s help to Poland, particularly the support provided by the military engineering unit deployed at the border with Belarus. The two countries’ top diplomats discussed prospects for cooperation to enhance security in Europe, including assistance to Ukraine.
On the agenda was also Polish-British collaboration to counteract the launch of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. The ministers will be in regular contact.
