Conference of Ambassadors 2022
20.06.2022
This year’s Conference of Ambassadors of the Republic of Poland is held in Warsaw from 20 to 24 June. The participants are Poland’s ambassadors and permanent representatives to international organisations.
This is the first meeting of heads of Polish diplomatic missions and permanent representations after a two-year recess imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
While in Warsaw, ambassadors and permanent representatives of the Republic of Poland will pay visits to President Andrzej Duda, Speaker of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek, Speaker of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki, and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in order to discuss current and future cooperation.
A guest of honour at this year’s Conference of Ambassadors, His Excellency Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, has accepted an invitation from Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau to share with Polish ambassadors the Latvian perspective on the key aspects of the international situation.
The plenary talks will revolve around the current issues on the political agenda, grouped thematically into such fields as security, the European Union, information policy, economic, humanitarian and military cooperation, consular challenges, and diplomacy aimed at communicating with foreign publics and Polish communities abroad, as well as further development and professionalisation of the Polish foreign service.
On the occasion of the Conference of Ambassadors and as a token of special support for our Ukrainian partners, the Royal Castle in Warsaw will host a concert to celebrate solidarity between Poland and Ukraine, featuring artists of the Polish Royal Opera.
