The talks focused on bilateral political contacts planned for the second part of the year, including at the level of foreign ministers. Also discussed was the implementation of the arrangements agreed upon during President Andrzej Duda’s visit to China, which concerned the economy and movement of people. Minister Bartoszewski welcomed travel facilitation solutions introduced in July, under which Polish citizens can travel to China without a visa for a period of up to 15 days and may apply for a 5-year multiple-entry visa. The minister noted that both countries will benefit from the increase in tourism and business travel.

Ambassador Sun presented the main decisions made in July during the Third Plenum of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee, the implementation of which will entail not only accelerated modernisation, but also even more extensive cooperation between China and other countries.

Moreover, the diplomats spoke about the situation on the Polish–Belarusian border and its influence on China–Europe trade routes. On this occasion, Ambassador Sun recounted the July talks between China’s and Belarus’s foreign ministers.
