Deputy Minister Bartoszewski meets with Indonesian MFA’s Director General for American and European Affairs

Today, at the Polish MFA, Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski hosted a meeting with Umar Hadi, Director General for American and European Affairs at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussed were the current bilateral relations, including political, economic, and cultural cooperation, as well as threats to peace and security in Europe and the Middle East.

The talks focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. The deputy head of Polish diplomacy underlined Poland’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the need to observe international law in relations between different countries across the world.

The two officials also talked about the possibilities for enhancing bilateral political dialogue and the prospective development areas of economic relations, including cooperation in the agri-food and energy sectors. Deputy Minister Bartoszewski also presented the priorities of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, such as the prospects for enhancing relations with the Southeast Asian countries.
