The main goal of Deputy Minister Przydacz’s visit to India was to inaugurate direct flights from Warsaw to New Delhi launched by the LOT Polish Airlines. “This is a historic moment. The air service is meant to boost our economic cooperation and people-to-people contacts,” Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz told Hardeep Singh Puri, India’s Civil Aviation Minister. “Poland hopes that it will be possible to create a broader network of air connections in the future,” added Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz. He also informed the Indian side about plans to build the Solidarity Transport Hub (CPK) in Poland. “The hub will be the largest airport in Central Europe and will give a new impetus to our economy’s rapid growth,” he stressed.

Deputy Minister Przydacz met with his counterpart, Secretary for Economic Relations at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, T. S. Tirumurti. He highlighted long-standing good political and economic cooperation between Poland and India and the still untapped potential in economic exchange. “Today, Poland is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe. We would like to attract more economic partners from outside the EU,” said Deputy Minister Przydacz. He also mentioned India’s upcoming G20 presidency, expressing Poland’s readiness to join the working groups.

Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz and India’s Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry N. Sivasailam discussed how to develop economic relations between the two countries.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Przydacz also opened the Poland-India Business Forum which was organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The deputy minister took part in an academic panel at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi which discussed the role of universities and businesses in contemporary diplomacy. During the panel, the University of Warsaw and the Jawaharlal Nehru University signed a cooperation agreement.

On Saturday 14 September, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz met with members of the business community of Kolhapur and Maharashtra. Later, he unveiled a plaque commemorating a place in Valivade where a camp of Siberian deportees fleeing the USSR was established in 1943.
