The officials agreed that the Western Balkans' EU accession, especially in today's geopolitical situation, remains one of the most significant goals for the EU and its member states. It will also be among priorities for the Polish presidency of the EU Council in early 2025. The European Council's decision to open EU accession negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the pace of Montenegro's EU integration process after the intergovernmental conference should be considered crucial steps in this context. Underlining that the other countries of the region also belong to the European Union is of equal importance.

Deputy Minister Prawda recognised the efforts Miroslav Lajčák has made so far to normalise ties between Serbia and Kosovo. The diplomats concluded that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, backed by EU member states, including Poland, is the best framework for such a normalisation process. They also stressed the significance of both countries doing their utmost to deliver on their commitments.
