Also discussed were relations between the EU and Azerbaijan as well as Poland’s coming presidency of the Council of the European Union. Another item on the agenda involved security in the South Caucasus. Deputy Minister Marek Prawda reiterated Poland’s support for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and for stabilisation across the region. While in Baku, Deputy Minister Prawda also held talks with Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and met with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
