Deputy Minister Piotr Wawrzyk visits International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce

“The US military presence in Poland strengthens not only the security of our country but also of the whole region, as it complements the other allied forces on the eastern flank,” said Deputy Minister Wawrzyk in a meeting with the representatives of the defence industry during the 27th International Defence Industry Exhibition.
Undersecretary of State at the MFA underscored that the deployment of troops, the joint effort of Poland, the USA and the other allies, substantially supports the deterrence and defence potential of the whole North Atlantic Treaty. He also added that energy and energy-related issues are becoming increasingly important area of interest in Polish-American cooperation.
Deputy Minister Piotr Wawrzyk also attended a panel discussion on best-selling products of Polish defence industry. The discussion accompanied the presentation of the “Security promoters” report by Defence24.pl.
During his visit in Kielce, the undersecretary also spoke with the representatives of domestic defence sector and the leaders of global military industry operating in Poland.
International Defence Industry Exhibition is an important event in the military industry in Europe, the only event of this type in Poland visited by more than a dozen thousand people every year. The organisers estimate that last year’s fair was attended by 624 companies from 31 countries, including 328 Polish companies, and 53 delegations of 46 countries visited the exhibition.
