07.07.2022
On 7 July, the deputy head of Polish diplomacy took part in the sixth edition of the Polish-British Belvedere Forum in London. In his address, he emphasised that Warsaw and London have a deep and strategic partnership based on common values and interests. Nearly one million Poles living in the United Kingdom play an important role in these relations.
Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz expressed his hope that the coming years will bring further development of economic, scientific, and cultural relations between Poland and the UK. He also drew attention to an important aspect of Poland-UK relations, which is security cooperation, including the support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor. “We appreciate the United Kingdom’s commitment to the defence of NATO’s eastern flank and encourage even greater efforts in this area,” he added.

The Polish-British Belvedere Forum is a platform which brings together civil society, non-governmental organisations, academia, the media, and opinion-forming circles. It is one of the three most important platforms of the Polish-British relations, apart from the intergovernmental consultations and the Quadriga. The forum is organised jointly by the Polish Institute of International Affairs and Chatham House.
