During the visit, the deputy foreign minister held political consultations at the US Department of State and the National Security Council (NSC) with, among others, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Dereck Hogan, Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink, and NSC Senior Director for China and Taiwan Affairs Sarah Beran.

Moreover, Deputy Minister Wojciech Gerwel took part in the first edition of a conference organised by the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and titled “Polish–US Transatlantic Lookout”. During the event, the official delivered a welcoming speech. 

While in the United States, the deputy head of Polish diplomacy also met with representatives of US analytical communities: the Atlantic Council, Hudson Institute, and Johns Hopkins University.
