04.09.2019
Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó of Hungary discussed key items on European agenda, bilateral cooperation and security policy.
The ministers praised the very good state of bilateral relations and dynamic contacts in such areas as the economy. “I am happy that trade between our countries does not stop growing and reached EUR 9.6 billion in 2018,” said Minister Czaputowicz.
The ministers agreed that cooperation in the Visegrad Group has critical importance for the development of the whole region and for its leverage in European politics. They agreed that the UK’s departure from the EU and negotiations of the future Multiannual Financial Framework are major challenges facing the European Union. They also expressed their hope that new members of the European Commission will be appointed soon.
Minister Szijjártó is an honorary guest of the annual Ambassadors’ Conference organized by the Polish Foreign Ministry.
