Poland established diplomatic relations with Croatia on 10 April 1992. “Today, our countries are active partners within the European Union and allies within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We cooperate closely for European security and development,” emphasised Minister Rau.

Moreover, as co-initiators of the Three Seas Initiative, Poland and Croatia will continue to strive to enhance regional cooperation in Central and South-East Europe. The ministers discussed the security situation in Europe, further measures to support Ukraine in its fight against the Russian invasion, and plans to adopt new sanctions against the Russian aggressor. They also confirmed their willingness to further actively support the EU’s enlargement policy, with respect to both Ukraine and the Western Balkans countries.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the top diplomats of Poland and Croatia confirmed their willingness to further strengthen the relations between the two countries, both in the bilateral and the European dimensions.
