The ministers discussed the state of bilateral relations, especially with respect to trade, cooperation in agriculture, machinery industry and IT. The diplomats talked about continuing the ongoing Polish projects and investments in Rwanda and looking for areas of deepened collaboration. The talks also covered the execution of the agreements on cooperation in education and cybersecurity concluded in 2021. Minister Rau encouraged the Rwandan partner to start cooperation in green technologies. "As green technologies are one of the priorities of Rwanda's development, I expressed to Minister Biruta my interest in engaging in cooperation as part of an original project called GreenEvo – Green Technology Accelerator, created to support the international transfer of Polish environmental technologies", he stressed. The ministers agreed that the current level of trade does not fully reflect the potential of their bilateral relations. They also expressed hope that this trend will soon change.

The ministers signed an Agreement on diplomatic training aimed at helping Rwanda's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to professionally train the country's diplomats and at supporting the creation of Rwandan Diplomatic Academy. Minister Rau underlined that Minister Biruta’s participation in the Conference of Ambassadors means that the relations between both countries are reaching a new level, with Rwanda becoming one of the most important Polish partners in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
