13.05.2024

On 13 May, Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda held consultations with his French and German counterparts: Secretary General of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Anne-Marie Descôtes and State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office Thomas Bagger.

The ministers discussed current Weimar Triangle projects, including those to implement provisions contained in the Declaration of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, signed in La Celle-Saint-Cloud on 12 February this year. Another topic involved preparations for the forthcoming events in this format. The ministers also exchanged opinions on the possibilities of stepping up cooperation between Poland, France and Germany, including with regard to contacts with representatives of civil society.

An important point of the talks concerned an assessment of the current international situation and an analysis of support that the Weimar Triangle can provide to partners in the EU’s neighbourhood.
