Minister Jacek Czaputowicz talked with the foreign minister of the UAE during the Ministerial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East in Warsaw.

They talked about relations in the region and bilateral issues, in particular about the Polish citizen who is detained in the UAE.

The Polish diplomatic service closely follows the case of the Polish citizen, against whom criminal proceedings were initiated. Minister Czaputowicz addressed the chief of UAE diplomacy with a request for assistance in establishing direct contact between representatives of the Polish Embassy and the prosecutor’s office. He emphasized the importance of an efficient examination of the appeal lodged by the Polish citizen.

The head of Polish MFA, having regard for the good relations between the two countries, expressed hope for a positive resolution of this sensitive issue.
