Minister Czaputowicz to visit the US
16.07.2019
On 17 and 18 July, Minister Czaputowicz will go to Washington to take part in a debate on US relations with Central and Eastern European countries and in the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, organised by the US State Department.
The debate to be attended by Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, “The United States and Central Europe: celebrating Europe whole and free, building the next century together,” is part of a two-day conference on the United States’ relations with countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Minister Czaputowicz will be taking part in the debate alongside Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Aleš Chmelář. It will be moderated by Paula Dobriansky, a Fellow at Harvard University and a former Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs at the US Department of State. The meeting will be held at the Atlantic Council, a prestigious US think-tank that promotes strong transatlantic ties.
Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will also be attending the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, hosted by the US Department of State. This year’s conference (the first edition was held in July 2018) will be one of the biggest events dedicated to religious freedom. It will bring together high-level government representatives from more than 80 countries, religious leaders, non-governmental organisations, civil society, and international organisations.
