Minister Jacek Czaputowicz meets Minister Nathalie Loiseau

“We want good relations with France. We will work to strengthen our cooperation,” emphasised the chief of Polish diplomacy during a meeting with the French minister for European affairs.

The meeting with Minister Jacek Czaputowicz was the most important item on the agenda of the second day of Nathalie Loiseau’s Warsaw visit. The politicians discussed current bilateral relations, including the 100th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and France.

The ministers also spoke about the prospects of cooperation between the two countries at the Council of Europe and the UN Security Council. “The UN SC is an important forum of cooperation. This year it will again have five European countries on board. We want to work together to agree common positions,” said the the chief of Polish diplomacy.

The meeting also raised the July Balkans summit to be hosted in Poznan.

Yesterday, French Minister for European Affairs Nathalie Loiseau met with her Polish counterpart, Deputy Minister Konrad Szymański for talks on the current European agenda such as Brexit and the Multiannual Financial Frameworks, as well as internal market issues.
