Minister Jacek Czaputowicz to attend the Munich Security Conference

On 15 and 16 February, the chief of Polish diplomacy will take part in the 55th Munich Security Conference. This annual event has been organised since 1962 and represents a unique, prestigious forum of discussion at the top level on current international security issues.
The debate during this year’s Munich Conference will focus on defence cooperation, the situation in Eastern Europe as well as in South-Eastern Europe, current crises in different regions of the world, among them, the war in Syria and conflicts in the Sahel region. Current challenges and threats to international security in the energy, cyber, humanitarian and environmental dimensions will also be important topics discussed at the meeting.
The conference participants will exchange views on the future of the transatlantic cooperation, the development of the European Union’s defence capabilities and on international arms control mechanisms.
During the conference, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will take the floor in a panel discussion on the future of defence cooperation and will hold a series of bilateral meetings.
