Minister Jacek Czaputowicz visits the US

From 1 to 4 April 2019, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will be visiting the United States. He will take part in UN Security Council briefings and in ceremonies marking NATO’s 70th anniversary.
During his visit at UN Headquarters in New York, the chief of Polish diplomacy will participate in briefings on international humanitarian law and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, among others. His agenda will also include meetings with Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix and bilateral meetings, also with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah. It will be Minister Czaputowicz's seventh visit to New York since Poland began its two-year term as UN Security Council non-permanent member in 2018-2019.
In Washington DC, the head of Polish MFA will take part in working sessions of the North Atlantic Council that will discuss relations with Russia, engagement in the fight against terrorism, transatlantic cooperation and burden sharing.
When in Washington DC, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will also take part in events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of NATO and the 20th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the North Atlantic Alliance: Ministerial Forum organised by the Centre for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) “NATO at 70: Commemorating the Past. Preparing for the Future” and Conference “Stronger Together: The Importance of Allies in an Era of Great Power Confrontation.”
