Minister Rau to visit Tehran

On 7-9 May 2022, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will pay an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of the Iranian side. During the visit, Poland’s top diplomat will meet with Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and President of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. He will also hold political consultations with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The official talks between the top diplomats of Poland and Iran will provide an opportunity to discuss the most important issues related to bilateral cooperation, particularly as regards the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. The head of the Polish MFA will present Poland’s position, as the current OSCE chair, on security situation in Eastern Europe. The foreign ministers will also sign an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science, sport, youth, and mass media.
