Minister Zbigniew Rau to visit Ukraine

Zbigniew Rau, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs and OSCE Chairman-in-Office, will travel to Ukraine today on what will be his first official visit to the country.

Minister Rau will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, and Iryna Vereshchuk, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. The talks will focus on current developments in Ukraine, steps contributing to de-escalation, and measures to solve the crisis in and around the country in cooperation with the OSCE.

Minister Rau will meet with the Special Representative of the Chairman-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), the head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM), and the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (PCU). He will also meet with the head of the ICRC Delegation to Ukraine and the Resident Coordinator of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

On 11 January, Zbigniew Rau will travel to eastern Ukraine to be brought up to date on the security and humanitarian situation in the conflict-affected areas.
