On 30 March 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised a ceremony to hand over the more than 100 years old Treaty of Riga and other documents of the fonds no. 5 to the Archives of Modern Records.

Talks among foreign ministers of the Bucharest Nine (B9) countries will take place on 30 and 31 March.

On 29 March 2023, heads of missions representing the States Parties to the Convention on the Law of the Sea accredited in Warsaw met with Konrad Marciniak, Director of the Legal and Treaty Department at the MFA and Poland’s candidate to the post of judge in the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

As we are approaching the next meeting of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee on March 28-30, 2023, we wish to reiterate Ukraine’s position on the IOC recent calls to explore the pathways for participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in competitions as “neutral athletes”.

Poland and the UK will build two major temporary villages in the west and east of Ukraine to provide vital housing to those forced from their homes by barbaric Russian attacks. The UK has announced up to £10 million in funding to support the new Polish-UK partnership, which will deliver temporary shelters, energy supplies and assistance to those who have lost their homes since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

On 20 March 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Government Plenipotentiary for Compensation for Damage Caused by German Aggression and Occupation in 1939-1945, contacted all US Congressmen—members of the House of Representatives and Senate—to inform them about Poland’s efforts to obtain compensation for losses caused by German aggression and occupation in 1939-1945.

On 19-25 March, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wojciech Gerwel travelled to Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. The main objective of the visits was to hold political consultations with his counterparts in ministries responsible for foreign affairs.

On 22 March 2023, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau met in Warsaw with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen. The talks covered bilateral relations and the most important items currently on the international agenda, including the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the increase of tension in Israeli-Palestinian relations.

On 23 March 2023, White–Red–White exhibition was donated to the Free Belarus Museum. The exhibition has been arranged as a result of the international poster competition held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the National Centre for Culture Poland on the second anniversary of the rigged presidential election in Belarus.

On 22 March 2023, during the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in Warsaw, Poland and Israel concluded an international agreement on cooperation in the field of study visits of organised youth groups.
