22.05.2019
“Poland supports the changes taking place in Armenia and stands ready to support Yerevan in its efforts to carry out wide-ranging modernisation reforms,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz during today’s talks with deputy chief of Armenian diplomacy Avet Adonts.
“We are interested in the further development of friendly, mutually beneficial relations with Yerevan,” added Deputy Minister Przydacz during the meeting, which focused on discussing bilateral relations. The deputy head of the Polish MFA underlined that Poland is looking forward to intensifying economic cooperation with Armenia and noted the still untapped potential of our mutual trade. The talks furthermore dealt with development assistance and security policy in the South Caucasus as well as relations between the European Union and Yerevan. The ministers paid particular attention to Armenia’s activities under the Eastern Partnership programme, in the context of its tenth anniversary this year.
They also discussed expert assistance aimed at sharing experience and assistance in implementing constitutional reforms, also based on the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA). “There is still a large untapped cooperation potential, for instance in trade and investment. The implementation of the CEPA cooperation agreement with the European Union also opens up new opportunities in our bilateral relations,” emphasised Deputy Minister Przydacz.
