Uzra Zeya, US Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights and Arkadiusz Mularczyk met on 2 October 2023 to discuss cooperation in the field of human rights protection, migration, and responsibility for war.

The officials also talked about assistance and support for Ukraine in their humanitarian and development dimensions. Deputy Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk underlined the need to hold Russia accountable for war crimes. The Under Secretary of State praised the assistance provided by Poland and Polish society to our eastern neighbour since the launch of Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The parties agreed on the need to further support Ukraine and punish Russia’s war crimes.

Another topic of discussion concerned the architecture of international security and the migration situation at the Polish-Belarusian border as a tool of hybrid war.
