Tomasz Czyszek appointed new Polish ambassador to Malta

Yesterday, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, on behalf of the Polish President, handed Tomasz Czyszek his nomination to the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Malta.
Tomasz Czyszek graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University (MA in political sciences). He studied at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He also completed European Integration Studies at the National School of Public Administration.
In 2000-2001, he worked at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister at the Office of the Government Plenipotentiary for Negotiations of the Republic of Poland’s EU Membership. In 2002, he joined the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked at the Department of the European Union and Accession Negotiations Servicing. In 2004-2009, he worked at the Political Section of the Polish Embassy in Rome. In 2009-2010, he worked at the Department of Western and Northern Europe, and later (in 2010-2012) at the European Policy Department, where he held the position of, among others, head of Western Europe Section. In 2012-2015, he served as deputy director, and later (in 2016-2018) as director of MFA’s Bureau of Archives and Information Management.
