Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda holds talks with Minister of State at Germany's Federal Foreign Office and Head of Ministers Office at Sweden's MFA

On 15 April, Undersecretary of State at the Polish MFA Marek Prawda met in Warsaw with Anna Lührmann, Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, and Torbjörn Sohlström, Head of the Ministers Office at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Deputy Minister Prawda's talks with the Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office focused on bilateral relations and cooperation within the Weimar Triangle. Also discussed were topics on the European agenda, such as migration policy and EU enlargement. The officials agreed that such consultations should be held on a regular basis.
During Marek Prawda's meeting with Head of the Ministers Office at the Swedish MFA Torbjörn Sohlström, both partners confirmed their high assessment of bilateral ties between Poland and Sweden, as well as the increasing role of multilateral cooperation in the Baltic Sea region. Torbjörn Sohlström acknowledged the special role Poland plays in building bridges between the Baltic and Nordic countries and large EU states. Deputy Minister Prawda pointed out that Sweden's accession to NATO has significantly strengthened the security in the region and assured his guest of Warsaw's consistent commitment to building a stronger Europe. In the Ukrainian context, both sides confirmed their willingness to further support Kyiv and intensify measures to reach the common goal of defeating Russia and ensuring a lasting peace in Europe. They agreed that Europe and the US have the potential to provide effective assistance to Ukraine as it fights off the Russian aggression.
