Headed by the MFA’s Undersecretary of State Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, the Working Party on Eliminating Irregularities in the Polish Visa System is about to conclude its assignment.
Appointed by the decision of the Chair of the Interministerial Migration Team, the Working Party consists of experts with corresponding background knowledge and decision-making powers representing ministers responsible for the interior and administration; foreign affairs; family, labour and social policy; education; science and higher education; economy; and the administration of justice, and representatives of the Head of the Office for Foreigners, the Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, the Head of the Internal Security Agency, and the Chief Labour Inspector.
The Working Party has aimed to draw up a White Paper indicating the areas of changes to legislation in Poland that are necessary to put the country’s visa system in order. In particular, it has been tasked with developing mechanisms to tighten up the system of issuing foreigners with student visas, work visas, residence permits, and work permits.
