Ambassador Przemyslaw Bobak presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of South Sudan

On June 14th, 2023, President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit accepted original letters of credence, presented by Ambassador Przemyslaw Bobak.
The ceremony took place in the Presidential Palace, it began with playing of the anthem and the army inspection of the Ambassador. On this day, 10 heads of diplomatic missions presented their credentials, most of them do not reside in Juba.
During the courtesy call with President Kiir, Ambassador Bobak described the current state of bilateral relations and indicated the perspectives of their development.
The two day visit was also occassion to meet representatives of local Polish community living in South Sudan.
South Sudan is one of two countries of additional accreditation of Polish diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa (the other one is Republic of Djibouti). Poland has established diplomatic relations with South Sudan in early 2013, nearly two years after South Sudanese independence.
