Madame President thanked the Ambassador for Poland's kindness towards Ethiopia and assured him of her great personal sympathy towards our country.
Ambassador Aleksander Kropiwnicki expressed his gratitude for the kindness shown by the President and stressed the fact that recent years have seen a marked tightening of the Polish-Ethiopian bonds through an intensified academic co-operation as well as growing interest of Ehtiopian citizens in the Polish labor market. Ethiopian students and workers have been making good use of the opportunities provided by Polish eductional institutions and enterprises. Furthermore, the Polish embassy at Addis Ababa offers a streamlined visa application process. Lastly, we have seen a significant increase in the number of Ethiopian students benefitting from the Łukasiewicz scholarship.
Ambassador Kropiwnicki emphasized the genuine interest of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in both pan-African and Ethiopia-specific matters, such as AfCFTA or the fight against COVID-19. Poland greatly appreciates and supports Ehtiopian modernization initiatives as well as the efforts towards improving safety across the region.
