For the whole period of parental leave, a maternity allowance of 70% of the allowance base is granted.

However, the employee may submit a request to that effect no later than 21 days after the birth, so that the monthly maternity allowance for the period of maternity and parental leave is 81.5% of the allowance base.

However, in any case, the employee-father of a child will be entitled to an allowance of 70% of the allowance base for the non-transferable 9-week part of the leave.
