Parental leave shall be granted once or in no more than 5 parts no later than by the end of the calendar year in which the child reaches the age of 6 years.

Parental leave shall be granted upon request submitted in paper or electronic form by the employee-parent of a child no less than 21 days prior to the commencement of the leave. The requests for parental leave are binding on the employer. They must be submitted in paper or electronic form.
