Communication no. 5 on the implementation of the project: “Harmonising the rules of the functioning of entities in the scope of games of chance, betting, card games and games on gaming machines in terms of counteracting money laundering and financing of terrorism”

The General Inspector of Financial Information commenced the implementation of the project Harmonising the rules of the functioning of entities in the scope of games of chance, betting, card games and games on gaming machines in terms of counteracting money laundering and financing of terrorism.

The project is addressed to, inter alia, entities conducting activity in the scope of games of chance, betting, and games on gaming machines in the meaning of the Act of 19 November 2009 - Gambling Law (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 165). In connection with the foregoing, the General Inspector of Financial Information invites all stakeholders which conduct activity in the above-mentioned scope to apply for the participation in the project.

The project aims at developing common standards for fulfilling the obligations arising from the Act of 1 March 2018 on counteracting money laundering and financing of terrorism (Journal of Laws, item 723, as amended) by the entities conducting activity in the scope of games of chance, betting, card games.

Furthermore, I am asking for directing enquiries to the General Inspector of Financial Information related to the fulfilment of the obligations in the scope of counteracting money laundering and financing of terrorism and concerning activity in the scope of games of chance, betting, card games and games on gaming machines.
