The Department carries out tasks in the field of determining funds in terms of salaries in the public finance sector, remuneration policy, social security and pension systems for security provision forces. The Department also coordinates internal control and internal audit in public finance sector units as well as deals with spending reviews.

The Department carries out the tasks in the area of accounting of private sector undertakings, public sector entities and other entities required to keep the accounting records, as well as the tasks in the area of auditing and non-financial reporting.
