No 12-2012, K. Konopczak, J. Skibicki: Documentation of the Finance Ministry’s tax-benefit microsimulation model for Poland

This report is a documentation of a tax-benefit microsimulation model of the Ministry of Finance. The model is a static one, supplemented however with some behavioural elements. It can be used to analyse changes in regulations on direct and indirect taxation, social security contributions as well as social and family benefits. It allows for the assessment of financial and redistributive effects of proposed regulations. In the report we discuss the construction of the model, its goodness-of-fit as well as some examples of its application.
