GUGiK presentation during Permanent Committee on Cadastre(PCC) conference

A meeting of the Standing Committee on Cadastre (PCC) and EuroGeographics CLRKEN webinar was held by videoconference on 10 and 11 November 2021. The meeting was organised as part of Slovenian EU Presidency programme. The theme of the event is „Role of National Mapping, Cadastre and Land Registry Authorities in Resilience and Recovery program”.
During the videoconference, Ewa Surma, Director of the Department of Strategy, International Cooperation and Public Information representing the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, spoke about how pandemic situation accelerated informatisation and use of new technologies in the field of geodesy.
She pointed out that the introduction of digitisation of the documentation of land registration has improved the work of land surveyors. Due to changes in legislation, among other things, the amount of information stored in databases was reduced and the requirement to digitize documents was introduced.
During pandemic despite the ongoing restrictions, the GUGiK organised a total of 36 videoconferences. She indicated that the pandemic period has a positive impact on the development and use of network services provided by the GUGiK.
