Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK)

In the first half of December, representatives of the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography(GUGiK): Ewa Surma - Director of the Department of Strategy and International Cooperation and Ryszard Bojarski - Director of the Department of Informatisation, participated in the TAIEX expert mission in the field of spatial databases and open data.

The training was held in Moldova and was attended by representatives of Moldovan institutions: the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre and the Institute of Real Estate.

During the training, speakers from GUGiK presented knowledge on data integration at the EU and national level, the INSPIRE geoportal, the basics of harmonisation, as well as the SQL language and database creation.

The TAIEX expert mission, the aim of which is to strengthen institutional capacities and improve technical knowledge, was organized by the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre from Chisinau in cooperation with the European Commission.
