Ambassador Witold Sobków, Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Indo-Pacific and Afghanistan, visited India from 18 to 21 November. During his visit, he participated in a series of events and meetings aimed at strengthening Polish-Indian cooperation, enhancing Poland's presence in the Indo-Pacific region, and promoting Polish and EU perspectives on key global issues.

At “Sagarmanthan: The Great Oceans Dialogue”, organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) think tank and the Indian Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ambassador Sobków contributed to a panel on critical raw materials. His speech focused on the EU's policies regarding mineral extraction, including deep-sea resources.

A meeting with Shri S. Raghuram, Director of the Planning Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, was another key part of the visit. During their conversation, they explored potential directions for the development of cooperation between Poland and India in key sectors.

Ambassador Sobków also participated in a discussion with faculty representatives of the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. The discussion, titled “EU and the Indo-Pacific in the Emerging Global Order”, covered, among other topics, the issue of Russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as Poland's perspective on matters related to Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in the context of the upcoming Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
