Polish-Ukrainian band Dagadana performing in Mumbai for the first time!
29.05.2022
The important for both Poles and Ukrainians 231 anniversary of the adoption of the 3rd May Constitution was a good reason to present to the Indian audience the cultural ties with our eastern neighbour and to tell about the human aspect of the tragedy caused by the Russian aggression.
The Dagadana band, playing together since 2008, visited India for the first time. They performed twice: in Mumbai (27.05, G5A Warehouse) and in Pune (29.05, Mazda Hall). The unique combination of Polish and Ukrainian culture served through folklore, jazz and electronics mesmerized the Indian audience. It also gave the opportunity to tell Indians about the on-going eight-year-long war and the assistance Poles provided to the neighbour in need.
The Dagadana India tour was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai with the support of Polish Institute in New Delhi, LOT Polish Airlines, Billennium Ltd, Poona Music Society and the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Mumbai.
