The Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024 is one of India's major investment events aimed at positioning the state of Rajasthan as a center of innovation and economic growth by attracting investment in sectors such as renewable energy, mining, IT and tourism. The effort is aimed at helping implement the state's ambitious economic plans scheduled for the next five years. The summit included a series of thematic sessions on critical industry trends, exhibitions by companies showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovations, and meetings with investors to foster strategic partnerships.
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation held talks with Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Mr. Vasudev Devnani, and Rajasthan Minister of Industry and Commerce Mr. Rajyavardhan Rathore. The delegation also met with Speaker of the Lok Sabha Mr. Om Birla, India's Minister of Commerce and Industry Mr. P. Goyal and Minister of Culture and Tourism of India Mr. G. S. Shekhawat.
The talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties, exploring investment opportunities and discussing potential areas of business cooperation in sectors such as renewable energy, critical minerals, and infrastructure.
Poland and Rajasthan are linked by a rich history of cultural and economic cooperation. Prominent Polish artist Stefan Norblin created some 60 monumental murals and oil paintings in India in the 1940s. His works, a combination of art déco style and Indian iconography, still adorn the interiors of the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, serving as a symbol of Polish-Indian cultural exchange. Rajasthan is home to one Indian textile company that has been successfully investing in Poland for more than a dozen years.
