Dreaming about studying abroad? Think about Poland! Polish universities offer high quality education in English with much lower tuition costs than in e.g. Western Europe. Living costs are comparable to the biggest cities in Indonesia (see below).

Banach Scholarship Programme (previously Łukasiewicz)
- Offers scholarships for Master studies Engineering, IT, Life Sciences, Agriculture and related fields
- Tuition free + monthly allowance (approx. $400)
- Duration: 3 years (with a complementary Polish course) or 2 years (if studying in English)

Polish Courses
Embassy of Poland provides free Polish courses in Jakarta at the University of Atma Jaya (campus Semanggi) and the University of Indonesia (campus Depok). Please contact the relevant universities for details. You may also apply for free summer courses in Poland.
UNESCO/ Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme - "Engineering"
- Individual research programme at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow
- Tuition free + monthly allowance (approx. $400), return tickets, insurance
- Duration: 6 months

PhD - Polish National Programme
- All doctoral students, regardless of their nationality, can pursue their PhD for free and with a scholarship within approx. $600 to 930
- Admission process is based on entry exam, exact requirements are available on the websites of given universities
Individual scholarships/ Tuition-free studies
- Scholarships awarded by individual universities or cities organizations, e. g.: in Lublin, Poznań and Wrocław, usually based on outstanding results and/or activity. Contact them directly for details:

- most universities offer “Rector’s Scholarships” for outstanding students after their first year of studies. This can include a tuition fee waiver and a stipend. Contact your university directly for details.

The researchinpoland.org website, available in English, is dedicated to foreign scientists and PhD candidates.
The aim of the website is to fulfil three key informational and promotional requirements:
- Provide foreign researchers with key information concerning the Polish system of higher education and the organization of their stay in Poland;
- Equip the researchers interested in pursuing their scientific careers in Poland with tools such as search engines enabling them to find: jobs/projects, grants, scientific events, so that they can find what is most relevant for them;
- Promote the achievements of Polish science and Polish scientists through the success story component.

Visa information
For full time studies, apply for a National Visa (Type D) in the Embassy of Poland. Apart from other listed documents, you would need a certificate of admission from the Polish university/scholarship programme. Before your university admission you will probably need to legalise your Indonesian diploma.
For short time exchanges, apply for Type C visa.
