Webinar - Prof. Zwierzycki – biography bridging Indonesian and Polish soil and history

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta warmly invites to a webinar presenting life and achievements of prof. Józef Zwierzycki, a Polish scientist who had a great impact in the field of geology in the Indonesian archipelago (he was the author of the first geological map of the Indonesian archipelago).
This year marks the 60th anniversary of prof. Zwierzycki decease. Zwierzycki's life combines the history of Poland and Indonesia, but also relates to the history of the Netherlands and Europe. This unique and extraordinary biography will be presented in detail during the webinar. The panelists of the webinar are: dr. Anna Gorecka-Nowak and dr. Alina Chrząstek (University of Wrocław) prof. Kusuma (an excellent ITB geologist, creator of oil and gas maps in Indonesia) and Han van Gorsel - a Dutch geologist who worked in Indonesia for many years, currently lives in the USA and is greatly interested in the life of prof. Zwierzycki.
