Commemorating this year’s anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, Culture.pl is releasing a series of 10 immersive soundwalks, in both English and Polish, covering this period’s most significant events.

This year will go down in history as a time of great struggle and consequence. Our fight against the pandemic is an epic human endeavour, but we need to brace ourselves for an even more important battle in the months ahead – over the shape of our post-Covid economy.

Over the past months, the Polish Aid has sponsored a comprehensive coronavirus response project in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. The project, implemented by the Slovak medical NGO STEP-IN and Polish Club of Catholic Intelligentsia (KIK), has targeted and mitigated the impact of coronavirus on the local population through three key areas: awareness and prevention, livelihoods support for the most vulnerable of the local community, and the continuation of key healthcare services.

On the 5th of July Polish contingent in the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI) coordinated the delivery of disinfectant liquid donated to Iraq by the President of the Republic of Poland.

On the 16th of June the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland delivered 50,000 protective face masks to Iraq’s health authorities, at the latter's request for support in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs announces a contest for the best foreign language publication promoting the history of Poland and the best Polish language publication on the history of Polish diplomacy. The contest welcomes works which were published in 2019. Historians can submit their works until 31 August 2020.

The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is seeding a virtual, interactive garden inspired by the work of Krzysztof Penderecki. Penderecki’s Garden will attain full bloom on 23 November, the composer’s birthday. On 20 May, the authors of the project announced their vision.
