Lockdown in Israel and its impact on the functioning of the Consular Section
17.09.2020
From September 18th to October 18th, 2020, the Israeli authorities introduced a nation-wide lockdown (movement limited to 1000 m from the place of residence; closure of offices, schools and other institutions/facilities/retail and service outlets hosting customers/clients). These measures were introduced with the aim of limiting the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. (last update: October 14th, 2020)
During the lockdown, the Consular Section remains ready to provide necessary consular assistance to Polish citizens in emergency situations requiring urgent intervention (e.g. accidents, arrests, falling prey to criminals etc.).
The Consular Section is also at your disposal in all other matters by correspondence (postal and electronic – the e-mail box is operated on regular basis).
Due to the prohibition of movement introduced by the authorities, visitors will not be able to reach the consulate. Therefore, applicants' visits to the consulate between September 21st and October 18th, 2020 will not be possible and will not take place. This limitation applies to both the possibility of submitting new applications and the receipt of documents in cases already pending. New appointments will not be made available for this period in the e-Konsulat system.
The Consular Section will contact all applicants who have registered visits in the office during lockdown notifying on their cancellation. Once the lockdown is over, the applications of these persons will be admitted without the need to re-register the appointments in the e-Konsulat system (the consulate will contact you separately to inform about new appointment terms).
