Concert and meeting with the Polish community on the occasion of Independence Day
21.11.2024
On November 21st, the Embassy hosted an event addressed to the Polish community, during which Polish musicians performed compositions by Fryderyk Chopin and patriotic songs referring to the independence effort. The meeting was organized to integrate Poles living in Kuwait and jointly celebrate the rebirth of Poland 106 years ago.
Polish music traditionally accompanies the celebrations of Independence Day in Kuwait. This year marks 35 years since the first concert of the Kuwait Chamber Philharmonic took place on November 11, 1989 and included a Chopin recital. This is also to emphasize the key role of Polish artists in establishing this institution.
We would like to thank Kinga and Karol Masternak and Kamil Derylo for the excellent performance of Polish music during the meeting at the Embassy, and the numerous Poles with their families for their active participation in the ceremony and singing together!
