Mr. Michał Cholewa

Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Republic of Poland in the State of Kuwait

 

Michał Cholewa is a career diplomat, graduate of the Polish MFA’s Diplomatic Academy.

He worked in the Policy Planning Department where he held the role of Head of Section. He also dealt with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy and served in the Polish Embassies in Tel Aviv and Paris. Prior to his current assignment, he headed the Maghreb and Mashreq Section in the Department of Africa and the Middle East.

Michał Cholewa graduated, magna cum laude, from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (international relations, major in American studies). He studied political science at Université Paris-8 Vincennes à Saint Denis (2008/09) and Harvard University (2019).

Born in 1986 in Chorzów, Poland. He has two sons. His spouse, Agata, is also an international relations graduate, and throughout all her career has served in the public sector. 

Member of the Polish Foreign Ministry’s soccer team. Gold and silver medalist of the diplomatic tournaments for the Baltic and Central-Eastern European Cups.
