Polish Foreign Minister met with top Kuwaiti officials during his visit to Kuwait on 24-25 August.

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz visits Kuwait

Minister Czaputowicz held talks with the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Marzouq Al-Ghanim. He also met with his Kuwaiti counterpart, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The Minister commanded strong, historic ties between Poland and Kuwait. He underlined Kuwait’s positive role in the region and worldwide, particularly country’s humanitarian efforts which are highly appreciated.

The talks concerned expanding cooperation the fields of trade and investment, military, education, healthcare, culture, sport and tourism, as well as strenghtening cooperation between both countries’ research institutions. Polish Minister expressed his hope to increase the volume of Polish-Kuwaiti trade exchange and the value of Kuwaiti investments in Poland.

Among the discussed global issues were those concerning international security in the Middle East region, including the situation in Syria and Yemen. Both sides highlighted  the fruitful cooperation of Poland and Kuwait as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council. Additionally, the talks covered further actions in the framework of the Warsaw Process.
