23.01.2024DRAGON-24 - the most critical tactical examIn the first half of 2024, NATO will conduct a series of exercises under the overarching umbrella of STEADFAST DEFENDER-24 (STDE-24) exercise. The exercises, which will take place mainly in Central Europe, will involve some 90,000 troops from all NATO countries as well as Sweden. The exercises will test the ability of the Alliance's forces to deter and defend, including countering a potential adversary’s aggression against NATO countries.

23.01.2024Another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact GroupOn January 23, the 18th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), under US chairmanship, was held in a virtual format with the participation of nearly 50 partner countries and NATO and EU representatives. One can say that Poland is the most important ally of the United States on the eastern flank of NATO, as evidenced by approximately 10,000 American troops are stationed on Polish soil. 19.10.2023Polish Special Forces once again to take up duty within the NATO Response Forces- For the third time in history, the Special Forces Component Command has achieved certification stating that they can command the NATO Response Forces, but for the first time in history, which is worth noting, the Special Forces Component Command has achieved certification for commanding a large-scale defense operation. This is a great success. This is the result of very hard work, of the service of our soldiers. I would like to thank the soldiers from the Allied nations, because this is a our joint achievement. This is a NATO's achievement. 25.09.2023First offset agreement for APACHE attack helicopters signed- I have signed an offset agreement with Lockheed Martin, which manufactures certain components of the Apache helicopter. Apache are attack helicopters, which we are ordering for the Polish Armed Forces in the number of 96 units. We are at the Boeing factory. Certain elements of these helicopters are produced by other American companies. I have just signed an offset agreement, which gives the Polish defense industry the ability to service and repair the radars and missile guidance system that are on board the Apache helicopters," said Mariusz Blaszczak, Minister of National Defense, during his visit to the United States.

20.09.2023Poland and Lithuania counter hybrid attacks on the border- Thank you that today we could meet, we could discuss Polish-Lithuanian cooperation, which is model and exemplary. We are in constant contact, and at least once a year there are meetings of defense ministers of Poland and Lithuania. There have already been four rounds, so we exchange experiences, share insights, information and cooperate very closely. We met today in a unique place, namely, at the tri-junction. Here is the border of Poland, Belarus, and next there is the border of Lithuania and Belarus, and the border of Poland and Lithuania. A unique place because of, on the one hand, our Polish-Lithuanian friendship - which we are greatly pleased about - and, on the other hand, because of the hybrid attacks carried out from the territory of Belarus that affect Poland and Lithuania" Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said during a meeting with Lithuania's defense minister.

I wish to express my gratitude for the very good cooperation with the United States and the United Kingdom" - said Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, during the approval of contracts for the purchase of equipment for the Polish Armed Forces.
