The task of this group is to coordinate support for Ukraine. We may be pleased that Poland's role in supporting Ukraine is appreciated by our Allies. 07.06.2023FA-50 will enhance the potential of Polish Air Force“In September last year in Mińsk Mazowiecki, Poland, I had the pleasure and honor to approve the contract for the supply of FA-50 light combat aircraft. The first units are already being delivered to Poland. This is an extremely important moment for the Air Force. We dispose of post-Soviet aircraft, and from now on, Polish combat aviation will only use F-16 and FA-50 aircraft, and soon also F-35. These three types come from the same family of excellent and modern aircraft. This is a great asset when building an interoperable air defense system and a unified training system. Our pilots have already completed their first FA-50 training in the Republic of Korea and will soon be ready to smoothly transition to use the new type of equipment” – said Mariusz Błaszczak, minister of national defence during his visit to South Korea.

05.06.2023Strengthening the capacity of the Polish Armed Forces as part of Polish-Korean cooperation"Cooperation between Poland and South Korea is well advanced. The first tanks are already in Poland, the first K9 cannon howitzers are also already on the equipment of the 16th Mechanized Division. The FA-50 aircraft will also be provided to the Polish Army, replacing post-Soviet aircraft. Our efforts are focused on replacing post-Soviet equipment with modern one. Korean equipment is among the most modern. The Ministry of Defense has negotiated good prices for this equipment. Now, it is a matter of getting the Bank of National Economy [Polish: Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego] to fill the financial plans with content. As a result, we have a state-of-the-art equipment that goes and will be equipped to the Polish Armed Forces" said Mariusz Blaszczak, Minister of National Defense, during his visit to South Korea.
